Recently, the former CEO of Papa Johns decided to release a couple videos about his mansion. Is there a moat? Are their gun turrets? Definitely. Is there a clock in the front foyer of two eagles getting it on? Absolutely! I mean, this thing is super tacky. “Howdy! Papa John,” he said in the beginning of the video, pointing to himself with both thumbs. He wore a bright red shirt that said “Papa” in a font similar to the Coca-Cola logo, which is apparently part of his new line of merchandise (who would buy this, I don’t know). Yeah, there’s a lot to unpack here. “Welcome to my crib!” he added, before the TikTok switched to an aerial shot of his mansion located in Louisville, KY, accompanied by a beat drop. Honestly, it looks like a shot of a castle from a movie, considering there’s a literal moat around the house. the house is on a 16-acre plot of land and cost the former Papa John’s CEO about $11 million.

Giving him a small break, this is the same guy who said he ate 40 pizzas in 30 days to figure out what was wrong his former pizza chain. If you really want to see the video, we have embedded it but it might give you a nightmare or two. He looks like he is covered in pizza grease and might be more pizza than man at this point.

Without further ado, here is the first video.

I mean everything is just so super tacky. First off, why is he on TikTok? Anyone over the age of 25 on that platform is in the wrong place. No one cares about your old ass. Was this guy bullied as a kid? Is he trying in his own way to let those bullies know that he made it? I don’t know. As one commenter put it… “Florida Man Wins Lottery” was my immediate impression on this. The interior design of his house is equal parts Graceland and Liberace’s home in Vegas.

This tackiness aside, there is an overlying sentiment that someone who paid their employees horribly, provided subpar working conditions, cut health care plans because he was broke, used racial slurs and was not a great overall human, shouldn’t show off the mansions they got treating people poorly. Most likely a repercussion of this line of thinking, many do not like his Papa Johns pizza very much, comparing it to cardboard.

30 million American’s are out of work. I think now’s a good time to release a video of my gaudy mansion.”-Papa John.
